The Charlotte Elite Volleyball Club was formed in November of 2014. The club will expand in the next few years to as many teams as can be competitive nationally.

The mission of this club is to prepare Charlotte area athletes to play college volleyball. The program provides not only fundamental skills in volleyball, but trains athletes to compete nationally. Charlotte Elite athletes are advised and trained in all facets of what is needed to play at the collegiate level. The program consists of training by current college coaches including practicing three times a week including physical conditioning, strength training, jump training and balance work. The athletes are advised on nutrition, rest, and time management for a student-athlete. The staff also works with each player individually on the process of being a recruited college prospect including how to communicate with college programs, creating and sending out video material and following NCAA regulations. There is set in place an intensive club schedule which is critical to expose the athlete to the national climate of club volleyball as well as expose the athletes to college coaches at junior national qualifying tournaments. This scheduling is crucial to allow the athletes to compete with other volleyball prospects across the nation for a position on a college team.

The athletes involved are from the Charlotte Metro area and are chosen based on their athleticism and commitment to the sport. Tryouts are held annually in early November.

The 2014 Charlotte Elite team consists of 12 players ranging in age from 15-18 yrs and from freshmen to seniors in High School. The 2014 team competes in the 18-club division.
